Welcome to our new ICL website

News

After months of meticulous planning, with particular focus on user experience and functional upgrades, the National ICL Program is delighted to announce the launch of our brand new ICL website. 

Benefit from a modern design and experience a streamlined user interface, personalised learning dashboard, and access to exclusive ICL resources and mentoring. 

Existing Users: 

  • Welcome back! To access the new website and explore its features, simply log in using your work email address. You will be prompted to reset your password for security reasons. 

  • Update your profile: After logging in, head to your profile and make sure your contact information is current to ensures we can keep you informed about important training and updates. 

Explore the new features:  

  • User Dashboard: This is your central hub for accessing resources, including customised ICL e-courses, national ICL webinar recordings, our suite of curated social science research and significant cases, training materials, state precedents, mentoring services, news and upcoming events. From here practitioners completing the national accreditation training can also register for Phase 2 accreditation workshops and track their accreditation training progress. 

  • Personalised Learning:Monitor your ICL professional development activities with a personalised learning dashboard, dedicated course section, and progress tracking. 

  • Exclusive DFV E-Course for ICLs: Launching alongside the new website, the customised Safe & Together: An Introduction to the Model for ICLs e-course  developed by the Safe & Together Institute in collaboration with the National Independent Children’s Lawyer Program, is exclusively designed for ICLs across Australia. It follows the adoption in 2021 by the FCFCOA of the Safe & Together Institute’s whole-of-court training package. Access is also extended to Child Representatives across Care & Protection jurisdictions nationwide. 

  • Streamlined access to resources: Quickly find the resources you need with our improved website navigation. In-page navigation has also been added to resource libraries, including the Social Science and Significant Cases pages, to simplify browsing.  

  • Enhanced LMS: The upgraded LMS provides an enhanced learning experience, including ongoing access to all completed accreditation learning modules and e-courses for review. 

  • Event Attendance Tracking: Use QR codes to track your attendance at Phase  2 workshops, and soon at national ICL webinars and other training events. Your attendance record will be visible on your dashboard.  

New Users: 

If you are interested in undertaking the National ICL accreditation training, visit the Becoming an ICL page to learn more about the training, state eligibility criteria and how to register. 

Children and Parents: 

Children and parents can learn about the role of ICLs through interactive brochures and stay updated on the latest developments in family law. 

We are confident the new website will enhance the user experience for all, and we encourage ICLs to avail themselves of the customised DFV e-course we have developed to support their practice.
